Metal oxide varistor is a metal oxide semiconductor nonlinear voltage-limiting resistor with zinc oxide as the main component. Its working principle is that the zinc oxide and additives of the metal oxide varistor are "sintered" under certain conditions. The resistance will be strongly affected by the voltage, and its current will rise sharply as the voltage increases. The rising curve is A nonlinear index.
